There is a lot of love for the Tri Five Chevies but at the end of the day only Ford was awesome enough to offer a hardtop convertible.

My parents had a 57 Fairlane when I was little and I still have a soft spot for them in my heart. I believe my dad said his brother had one of the Skyliners way back when they were just old Fords with wonky roofs. I guess he managed to get all of the switches and relays working so everything went up and down as it should, but it was a real pain.

They are beautiful cars and I don't blame you for having a soft spot. Too bad your uncle didn't keep the Skyliner they are worth a lot today
